A couple of months ago I made a short film about the Welsh Streets in Liverpool for the charity Save. This historic quarter of Victorian terraced streets is threatened with demolition. The houses were built for the Welsh workers who built the city, and in the following century Ringo Starr of the Beatles was born and raised there. Last week the film was screened at the Shuffle film festival along with a series of shorts that warmed up the crowd before Danny Boyle's 28 Days Later. I'm delighted to say the director himself introduced the films at the beginning, and was therefore forced to watch the Welsh Streets film. Have a look for yourself below (music by Will Hood) and read about it here. If you agree with saving a historic part of this incredible city then cough up some cash, before it's too late.
